A private-chef & events company

Search-Safe Website Rebuild Plan for a Private-Chef & Events Company

A full specification for moving a hospitality brand off Wix without losing search traffic: location pages, qualifying inquiry forms, tracking, and answers written for AI assistants.

In progress
  • GA4
  • Google Search Console
  • Meta pixel
  • Google Ads
  • Schema.org
  • llms.txt

The problem

The existing site had steady organic traffic and no working way to capture it. Inquiries went to an inbox, nothing was tracked, and hundreds of past contacts had never been emailed. The owners wanted a rebuild with themselves at the center of the brand, without losing the pages that already ranked.

What I built

The build specification, signed off section by section before design starts:

  • A client-first sitemap: home, private chef, events, weddings, about, a location hub with a page for each market the business serves, the chef network, a course page, the app waitlist, reviews and press, FAQ, and contact.
  • Forms that qualify. The event inquiry asks the questions the owners actually use to price an event, captures source and campaign data in hidden fields, and writes a structured record whose field names match the future CRM and app.
  • A deposit flow so a client can lock a date.
  • A course sales path that captures the email first, hands off to the course platform’s checkout with campaign tags, and reconciles buyers against captured leads.
  • Tracking from day one: GA4, Search Console, the Meta pixel, the Google Ads tag, Google Business Profile, and conversion events for phone clicks, button clicks, FAQ searches, and deep scrolls.

How it works

The migration plan protects what already ranks. Export every existing URL, map each one to a 301 redirect, keep the titles and headings that already rank, and monitor weekly for four weeks against a baseline.

Location pages have a minimum bar: unique copy, unique photos, local FAQs, and Service structured data. The FAQ page is written for AI assistants as well as people: short standalone answers, FAQ structured data, the answer text present in the HTML, and an llms.txt file at the root.

Twelve acceptance criteria define done, including that the owners can edit the site without a developer.

Stack

Platform to be confirmed (Webflow recommended), GA4, Google Search Console, Meta pixel, Google Ads, Schema.org structured data, llms.txt.

Where it stands

Specification complete in August 2026. Design starts when the owners sign off on brand direction and supply photography.
