An apparel brand

Custom E-commerce Build for an Apparel Brand

A phase-one custom store to test demand before moving to a mainstream platform: Stripe payments, automated shipping labels, Klaviyo email, and inventory on Cloudflare D1.

Completed
  • Next.js
  • Cloudflare Pages
  • Cloudflare D1
  • Stripe
  • EasyPost
  • UPS API
  • Klaviyo
  • Tailwind CSS

The problem

The brand wanted to test demand for its apparel line in the US and abroad before committing to a platform and its fees. It needed real checkout, real shipping, and real email marketing, not a landing page with a waitlist.

What I built

  • A custom storefront with product variants, inventory, and an admin view.
  • Stripe payments with a checkout that works for US and international buyers.
  • Automated fulfillment. Shipping labels generate through EasyPost, with a UPS fallback, and tracking goes to the customer automatically.
  • Klaviyo email automation for order updates and marketing flows, with separate paths for US and international customers.
  • Error alerts by email for anything that fails in checkout or fulfillment.

How it works

Orders and inventory live in Cloudflare D1, alongside the site on Cloudflare Pages. A paid order triggers the label, the tracking email, and the Klaviyo events in sequence, and a failure at any step sends an alert instead of disappearing quietly.

Stack

Next.js, Cloudflare Pages and D1, Stripe, EasyPost with UPS fallback, Klaviyo, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion.

Where it stands

Phase one completed in January 2026. The custom build stays on as a backup system as the brand moves onto a mainstream platform.
